Court: SD Tx  11/26/2019  District Court Denies Motion to Remand, Notes Insured's Failure to File Binding Stipulation Prior to Removal

The court noted that diversity jurisdiction is determined at the time of removal and the amount in controversy, in light of potentially trebled damages, exceeded the statutory amount. The insured's later filed binding stipulation could not be considered in support of his motion to remand.
