Kirsten Soto is a Senior Associate in Selman Breitman’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Equine Law practice groups. Kirsten advises and represents primary and excess insurers in coverage matters involving commercial general liability, professional liability, commercial property, inland marine, and commercial auto policies. She also has experience representing automotive dealerships and parts manufacturers, commercial transportation companies, healthcare providers, nonprofit associations, and individuals in a variety of complex commercial and insurance coverage disputes before federal and state courts nationwide. She has advised clients on insurance coverage matters involving construction defects, catastrophic tractor trailer and automotive collisions, product defects, sexual assault, human trafficking, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and toxic torts.
Kirsten’s considerable experience analyzing additional insured provisions, contractual indemnity obligations, and allocation of coverage allows her to provide valuable advice to her clients and offer innovative solutions to complex problems. She enjoys using creative problem-solving skills to assist clients in prompt and efficient resolution of disputes.
Kirsten earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations (Latin America) from The College of William and Mary, and graduate cum laude from American University Washington College of Law. During law school she was a member of the Executive Editorial Board and served as the Senior Symposia Editor for the Administrative Law Review. She speaks conversational Spanish, and has utilized her language skills to assist clients in pro bono matters.
A native of northern Virginia, she currently resides in Los Angeles. A lifelong horsewoman, Kirsten enjoys spending time at the barn and riding. She took up running shortly after law school, eventually completing several marathons and ultramarathons. She takes pride in applying the same tenacity and determination required to complete endurance races to helping her clients reach their goals.
