About the Webinar: The Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is proud to sponsor a new webinar with some of the preeminent insurance lawyers and mediators in Texas. Join us for a beginner’s guide on how to review an insurance policy for the purpose of determining whether coverage exists. We will address the structure of a Commercial General Liability (CGL) policy in particular, but the suggested approach will also apply to most other types of policies. We will dissect the various parts of a policy (e.g. declarations, insuring agreement, definitions, exclusions, conditions, etc.) and learn what impact they have on coverage. We will also note other considerations, such as regulatory notices, that may affect coverage. In the end, participants should gain a working understanding of how an insurance policy works.
