Sentry Select Insurance Co. v. Ruiz
Alcohol provided to employees by car dealership during an informal gathering constituted a "function" under commercial garage liability policy's "Host Liquor Liability" endorsement, thus giving rise to insurer's duty to defend the dealership after employee of dealership struck an off-duty employee on dealership's premises after consuming alcohol, and coverage was not excluded by Employer's Liability exclusion because it did not apply to injuries to off-duty employee, but ruling on duty to indemnify the dealership was premature before the underlying lawsuit is resolved.
commercial garage liability policy, host liquor liability endorsement, bodily injury, employer's liability exclusion, duty to defend, duty to indemnify
