The Fort Worth Court of Appeals joined the majority of courts that have considered the issue and held that an insurer's payment of a full claim amount as determined by an appraisal, as well as the maximum amount of any potential statutory interest, precludes an award of attorneys' fees under Section 542A of the Texas Prompt Payment of Claims Act.
