Court found that law firm's conduct in providing status reports and settlement valuations to an excess insurer for its client was performing work within the scope of its representation of that client and, therefore, the attorney immunity doctrine applied to bar negligent misrepresentation claims by the insurer against it, following an adverse judgment against the insured that fell within the excess layer of coverage.
