Court: Tx 9-Beaumont  09/17/2020  Insured Prevails in Dispute over Proper Venue for Homeowner's Claim

The court denied mandamus to an insurer finding that the mandatory venue provision requiring a suit for recovery of damages to real property to be brought in the county where the property is located did not apply to a homeowner's claim against his insurer because the claim was for breach of contract not for damages to the property.
