Court: SD Tx  03/27/2019  District Court Adopts Magistrate Judge's Recommendation in Homeowner's Coverage Dispute that Payment of Appraisal Award Satisfies Insurer's Obligations

The court agreed with the magistrate judge that the insurer's full and timely payment of the appraisal award estopped the insured from asserting a breach-of-contract claim under prevailing Texas law and barred any extra-contractual or bad faith claims.
