Following severance of four unrelated plaintiffs' claims, the insurer sought to maintain federal court jurisdiction, but the plaintiff did not allege an amount in controversy meeting the threshold requirement nor did the insurer produce evidence to establish it either, so subject matter jurisdiction did not exist.
