Ansah v. Nationwide Property and Casualty Insurance Co.

Court: SD Tx  08/23/2024  Insureds' Failure to Cooperate Bars Coverage and All Extracontractual Claims

A court of the Southern District of Texas held that insureds' disposal of damaged personal property and lack of photographs or other documentation that would allow for appraisal of personal property constituted a failure to cooperate with insurer's investigation, submit an inventory, and show the insurer the damaged property, thus the insured's failure to comply with the policy barred coverage and all extracontractual claims.
